CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

New 2021 Penny Error?

  • New 2021 Penny Error?

    Hello To All,
    I got some change yesterday with some of those shiny new 2021 pennies. I noticed that two of them had a notched "T" at the base of the word CENT. I looked for some other 2021s in my drawer and found a third. Pls see attached pic. Thanks.

    The one to the left looks like a hit to the coin, and the second might be the beginnings of a die crack. Either way, they are nothing to get excited about. Sorry...
