I agree that it does not appear to be a class 6 DDR. From what I can see, I do not see any other type of hub doubling. If that is the best photo you can get, then I suggest you wait until the attributions for cents opens up and you can contact the assigned attributer to see if he/she would have a look at it.Bob Piazza

IF it is on a hand held camera, see if the camera has a MACRO feature. It allows for close up photos. It is usually represented by a flower icon.
I suggest trying to match this coin up to one on http://varietyvista.com or https://coppercoins.com. On Coppercoins, go to the top left. Die Variety search.
fill in the top box with the full date, the next set of boxes below check a mintmark (choose P if no mintmark) and what type of variety you have. Then hit search.
should it come bak with no findings, that means nothing exists for the year/mintmark
TYPICALLY - a double die reverse tends to have doubling on E PLURIBUS UNUM. The E will show doubling and in some cases you can see two bottom parts of the "L" - the horizontal part. The dots can look egg shaped, and the U's can show some doubling with one U on top of the other.
The Wheat lines near the top, the tips may show some additional lines as the lines travel south.
But, it depends on each year and die, honestly. I know the 1917 year (Philadelphia no mintmark) can have a rather bold doubled die OBVERSE, but I don't know if that year (any mint mark) that has a DDR.
Keep looking, this hobby is rewarding, but it can have it's moments. Good luck in all future hunts !Last edited by MintErrors; 01-26-2022, 07:51 PM.Gary Kozera

the photo size you provided is small, only 96KB. That is good. This website allows up to 2MB per photo I believe... So you should be able to resize it. When resizing, there may be a box that says keep aspect ratio or something like that. Check that box, so when you change one value, the other will be calculated for you, keeping the photo "square" if you will.
Paint may be able to resize a photo after it has been cropped. Worse case Google knows all about how to resize a photo using whatever type app.

Getting better. Yours doing good. Still a tad too small in square size, but it IS better !
I will say I do not see anything major there. BUT Bob P might chime in again and offer his expert opinion.
I typically do not like doing this, but I will for educational purposes. Take a look at this coin:
https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/...-fs-801/569289
You can use the mouse pointer over the letters and wheat stalks. It will magnify things for you, but it will close it you keep the mouse still for too long =\
This is what a "classic" DDR looks like. The "L" in E PLURIBUS almost looks as wide as a hockey goalie stick, and the dots look, just, weird. The Left set of wheat lines have a lot of additional lines as well.
Does any of your coin resemble things like this?Gary Kozera

Then, I suggest waiting for a bit, and when Jason C, the leading CONECA attributer says people can send in submissions, it is something to think about. When the announcements are made, if you decide to send the coin in to CONECA, you can ask the cost, possible wait time and any other questions you may have. Don't forget to weigh in the postage both ways as well.
Maybe Private Message Bob P and let him see this thread. Then he can offer his expertise on what should be done. Look for Bob name above, and click on that black thought or quote icon. I think that will allow you to send him a message.
As I type, all I can offer is good luck with the possibility of this being a DDR. There are not any for that year/mintmark so it is an uphill fight. Hopefully it comes out a winner. My gut instinct says it is probably not a DDR but, I am human and I do make mistakes like everyone else.Gary Kozera
