CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Need help on a 1976 Lincoln Please

    If anyone can help me out & let me know what’s going on with this Lincoln would greatly appreciate it..As you can see it’s like a laminate issue, die crack on both sides..on the reverse it looks like another coin struck it which you can see the letter U as well as a partial date 1& 7 maybe..any info would be greatly appreciated…

    This is glue on the coin. Another coin was stuck the the reverse and imprinted into the glue. Thats why the 7 is backwards . You can try soaking in acetone to remove it but I would just toss it back. 76 is a terrible year for varieties and it had 1 DDO and this isnt it.
