When I try to magnify the coin it gets too blurry to assess this.

    Question !
Is there a die crack that runs from Lincoln's bow tie to the south, through the coat and towards the rim?

I am trying to tell if:
    1. The area around Lincoln's nose is slightly higher than the rest of the field (flat area on the coin). If so, it may be struck through a fragment, a small piece of lamination that fell off something else and was retained on this coin.

    2. If the area around Lincoln's nose is lower, then it may be a lamination issue. The smaller area near the forehead looks a little bit more natural when it comes to lamination issues, but without the coin in hand it is difficult to know for sure.

I downloaded the photo. I removed the under transparency layer so I could resize the photo. If you are trying to resize the photo, it appears that lower transparency layer is resizing, BUT the actual photo is not. I suggest saving the photo first, then opening it back up to see if it will allow you to resize it. Or see if there is a way to get rid of that lower transparency layer....or merge the two if possible.

The photo I uploaded is close to 500x00 pixels.

In any event, the arrows point to my question. =)

To me, this all appears to be a lamination issue.
