CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Unfortunately, This is not the small date. It is indeed the large date.

There is a record of die shock for this year since it has damage to the tire, gas blister problem or lamination that appearsaround freedom.

The 1970 small date has a few different things to make a good attribution call.
          • The inner part of the 9 the end of the curl is more east to west than the large date. The small date tends to point at 3 to 4 on the clock, where as the large date points to 5 on the clock, possibly a bit lower.
          • The word LIBERTY is weak on the small date, and strong on the large date.
          • The 7 in the date for the small date is at the same height of the 9 in the date. The 7 is slightly lower in the large date.
          I will add a photo...

I usually look at the point of the 9 as a back up...if it is blunt, its a large date. If it is pointed and the opening of the 9 is almost NFL football shaped, it's a small date.

Here in Cuba, there are problems with the networks and sometimes the translator does not work. My question is. There is for this year a collar crash or lamination problem since it seems to me it has it. I agree with what Bob told me. I just want to leave doubts since I am learning thanks to this forum, by the research and publications of the experts.

              I understand.
              I use Google translate.
It will allow offline translation as well.

The photos are ok, i just do not see any lamination where is it located ?

There is one area above LIBERTY that might have been something. If the area is raised on the coin. The coin is worn, so it makes it difficult to tell what it is, without seeing it in hand.
