    Good evening,
I'm on the fence with this one. I suspect it is a CopperCoins 1996-IDO-002, however, the doubling is quite subtle.
Please advise, if you can find the time. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
    Sincerely.

In my opinion, your coins date is a lot thinner than the coppercons example. DDO 001 should also have subtle doubling around IGWT. the doubling on these working dies are struck in metal, so where the researcher shows the issues, it should be. Some earlier stages might be stronger than others.

To me, this may be an example of die deterioration and old age of the coin. It looks pretty beat up,

Thank you for your insight Gary!
I'm very new to the game and still working on my understanding of what constitutes what. The example ( image ) I saw was super subtle so it had me scratching my head a bit. I just received a better microscope this evening, so my examinations and photos should show some improvement... fingers crossed anyway.
      Thanks again!

Varieties such as 1996P-1DO-002 are indeed very subtle. For that very reason, you need a nice looking coin. Circulation damage can and will mimic what appears to be doubling on these coins, so make sure the doubling shows on all devices as seen on the web site(s). Markers (if you can find them), can help to verify the find, but only if you identify the variety first.
