1969 D WASHINGTON QUARTER WITH AN INCREDIBLY WEAK MINT MARK
I am looking at a 1969D Washington Quarter I pulled from a mint set 20 years ago. The mint mark on the coin is nearly not there. The first two pics are with the coin flat. It isn't until you play with the light and angle (about 30 degrees on pics 3-6) of the coin that the super week 'D' becomes visible. I am guessing struck through grease however there seems to be a plethora of polishing marks on the ribbon of the queue and maybe aggressive polishing. Anyone else have any thoughts or comments?Last edited by rbroederer; 08-03-2022, 08:34 PM.Tags: None
