CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

The normal weight of a dime is 2.268grams, so it is indeed very possible that yours is missing a clad layer if it is only 1.9g. Most genuine errors I have seen weighed in at 1.86g. This appears to be a great find.

        It's your decision.
It's costly to send it in.
Is the coin worth that much? I do not know.
Is way cheaper to go to this forum area under CONECA SERVICES.
go to the Examiners side. Put a post with high detailed focused photos and see what they say. Its acheaper wayto get it looked at, vice paying over 50 bucks for 3rd party slabbing grading and authentication/attribution.

I need to reiterate that you should only post the coin once. I deleted another of your posts for this same coin. The topic can always be moved it need be.

The moderator will move posts, otherwise it would become chaotic.

As far as sending anything in, I gave you a suggestion to add a post under the examinations forum, under coneca services, here on this forum. The examiner would determine if a coin should be sent in for attribution or examination. They would then provide an address to send the coin to.

On this page go all the way up to the top left and choose forums.

Scroll down until you see coneca services.

Under that forum is another called examinations.
You can do a quick post in there with good photos and they should provide you with further directions or information.

I have moved the post. I will send you a message about who you can contact about verifying your find. You can contact him about where to send it, or any other info you might need.
