I am curiuos...How did you determine it could have been on a quarter planchet ?
Here is what is wrong with that theory.
The coin in the photos look like a normally struck coin.
You need to understand that coins use different size planchets, dies and the collars which hold the coin, when the dies strike the coin.

The idea you have is that the Indian head setup struck a quarter planchet.

The planchet itself would have been too big, and there should have been a pretty decent gap all around the coin... blank space if you will.

Simple experiment is to place a cent on top of a quarter and see the difference.any area not covered by the cent would be blank.

The coin would not have fit in the collar, so it would have been struck out of collar. There is a slight chance it could have been struck normally and on-center but odds are against it.

And we boil down to this coin that looks like it was in the middle of NYC traffic for a year. Its nearly impossible to determine if it had any minted error on it due to the damage. It's pretty close to worthless in that condirion.

The weight and diameter will be off.
So matching it up would be a long guessing game.

For someone that has tons of time on their hands,, this might be a trek they want to spend time on.. this coin just has tooooo many Pmd issues for me.

I am getting curious as to why just about every coin you post is supposed to be some wild variation of something we never heard of before. Your imagination is plenty vivid enough, but all of these coins of yours lack common sense and solid analytics. In addition, they are all pretty beat up, so pareidolia is a possibility as well. I will ALWAYS tell the membership that in order to understand a coin you have, you MUST know the minting and striking process. Had you known that in this instance, everything Gary has said would make perfect sense. After a while, the people get tired of answering questions on coins like this. Spend a little more time on research please.

Well Bob I apologize for waisting your time there buddy. I’ve been a Nero Surgeon 15 years so my imagination is just fine I can assure you that. And if someone feels as if they are waisting there time, then why take the time to answer or right a long drawn out reply insulting my intelligence? I make enough money I could buy or send in any coin I would ever care to however I was enjoying learning and chatting with you fellas until as of now. I’ll show myself out the door like a gentleman as you sir are not. You have yourself a pleasant evening.

Well being a Nero Surgeon you had to go through a lot of school learning how the nervous system works and the brain for many years at least 10. With anything in life the best way to learn is do the research there is so much resources out there on every type of error and variety. But the most import thing to learn is the minting process. There is a ton of videos on YouTube showing and explaining the minting process. After I learned the process it made it a lot easier and a lot more enjoyable hobby (obsession) for me. Don't get frustrated. No one is attacking you.

Sorry you feel that way. I have a job to do here, and whether you like my comments or not, I call it like I see it. I have dealt with hundreds (maybe thousands) of folks just like you who refuse to take the time and effort to learn. We try to get people here to help themselves with a gentle push in the right direction.

I never professed to being a gentleman either, and I am very sorry you can't take constructive criticism. I supposed you would rather I lie to you and tell you something it is not? Being a Neuro Surgeon is not a prerequisite to being a collector, but you MUST and I repeat MUST know the process before you go on a rant about being upset when someone tells you something you don't like. Sorry you decided to show yourself out the door. That just tells me that you are unwilling to learn.
