    1921-S Penny RPM?

I have a 1921 S Lincoln that appears to be an RPM. I haven’t been able to find an RPM for any listings. Any suggestions?

Hello N-6166. There is MD on the upper part of the mintmark. Notice it also shows on the verticle bar of the 2 of the date. Then what you are pointing to ""BTW very nice Photos""" looks more like a very heavy punching - ""Metal moved from the deep punch." We really need a serif or serifs to verify this as an RPM and with (1) circulated coin - could be damage from circulation., (2) Very little evidence of an RPM. (3) no serifs. I would not feel comfortable listing a coin like this.
Keep looking, they are out there.
    Eric

Thanks a lot for your information and suggestions.. The digital scope I'm using has LED lights and they make it very hard to get good photos on shinny AU type coins.

A little ingenuity and creativity can go a long way. Lighting is probably the most frustrating part for me when I have tough coins to photograph. So, I learned to use multiple lights, sheer fabric and even my hand to diffuse or change the light. Subtle changes can be a huge deal.

If you cover any lighting just make sure you watch it, and uncover it before it becomes a fire hazard. I have heard people using all sorts of sheer fabrics to tissue paper to white plastic bags to diffuse lighting. I even shake my head and smirk when I push a light away since the lighting isn't working, and take a deep breath and look to see the lighting is good now.

Although lighting is tough, it can be mastered and wonderful photos are just around the corner.
