    1975 1c D Cud - With a newly discovered bonus

I was getting some items ready to sell today and noticed that this 1975 D 1c with a major die break appeared to have a rotated die as well. So I went ahead and did a careful measurement -- and it does have a rotated die. It is only about a 10 degree rotation -- but to me it adds just a little more interest to an already interesting coin. Having the coin slabbed straight on the obverse made the rotation obvious.

Now that ebay required a front and back photo of certified coins, I imagine more than a few cherry-pickers will see what the seller has overlooked and get a great deal on a good die rotation.

Even with the minor rotation, it is an awesome cud. I think the relatively minor rotation will not add a significant premium to an already nice coin. I think Mike made a comment in another thread about rotational errors being about 30 degrees to be significant.
