CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. 1879 O Morgan

Can someone please offer an opinion whether this a double punched mint mark or a single punch done poorly. It doesn't look like a Horizontal O error but the 9 in the date might be doubled. Not sure. Thank you. PS More pics are available.

the area southeast is just pmd. look inside the loop northwest. sometimes the doubling is minor. your coin looks whizzed/polished.

In my opinion, ifyou have to go over 10x power multiplication to see the variety, its too minor. To me, this is too minor, if it is anything at all. It could simply be traces of die maintenance

1883, 1884 have a boatload of RPMs. They are cheaper too. But the 1879 O horizontal O in AU or higher is pretty impressive.
