1879 O Morgan
Can someone please offer an opinion whether this a double punched mint mark or a single punch done poorly. It doesn't look like a Horizontal O error but the 9 in the date might be doubled. Not sure. Thank you. PS More pics are available. You do not have permission to view this gallery.

the area southeast is just pmd. look inside the loop northwest. sometimes the doubling is minor. your coin looks whizzed/polished.coinfacts.com - conecaonline.info - board.conecaonline.org/forum/numismatic-site-links - briansvarietycoins.com - coppercoins.com - cuds-on-coins.com - doubleddie.com - error-ref.com - franklinlover.yolasite.com - ikegroup.info -lincolncentresource.com - maddieclashes.com - money.org - ngccoin.com/price-guide/world - ngccoin.com/census - ngccoin.com/resources/counterfeit-detection - nnp.wustl.edu - pcgs.com/pop - pcgs.com/coinfacts - pcgs.com/photograde - varietyvista.com - vamworld.com

In my opinion, ifyou have to go over 10x power multiplication to see the variety, its too minor. To me, this is too minor, if it is anything at all. It could simply be traces of die maintenance
1883, 1884 have a boatload of RPMs. They are cheaper too. But the 1879 O horizontal O in AU or higher is pretty impressive.Gary Kozera
