CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    1975 - 1976 D Bicentennial Quarter Error?

    I'm kind of new to error coins. What kind of issue would this be, and is it worth anything? The error that I noticed is that the drummer's ponytail seems to be non-existent. Is this a common error, or did the little drummer boy decide that he wanted a new haircut?

    CreativeHippo...Based on the photos, there is a possibility of a clash, but missing elements is usually caused by a struck through grease error or circulation wear.

      It's definitely not circulation wear, but how would I go about pricing? do you have any sites that you use to evaluate?

        We do not price or grade coins here. Pricing is pretty much a supply and demand issue. You can search auction data to see what similar coins sold for, but this is not a premium error. I don't know what kind of market there is for it.
