CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Don't sweat the small stuff. I would like to know what you would like for us to concentrate on. You show a couple of pics of the hand, so I am assuming that's what you want us to look at? Please let us know...OK?

I hope you are feeling much better now.

You still haven't told us what you are actually seeing and what you want clarification for. Things like 'doubled fingers', or splits on the letters help us a lot. Could you please be a bit more specific?

Lol....Yes I feel better each day. I think I'm in the short road now. Still have a Barry White voice but other than that I'm good. Thank you for asking. Yes the Fingers, keys and some letter doubling. I really don't see any in Ellington but the ones in the second pic I believe I do. Also there some anomalies on his head hand and sleeve. Not quite sure if they are anything of importance or if my mind is playing tricks on me. I'll get this posting thing down pat soon. I have to get the penny pics for my other post and then I'm going to wait until I have a clearer head before posting anything else. Don't want to wear my welcome out....

Some folks here may not know what the 'Barry White' voice is, but I do. I also had a rather lengthy recovery from Covid, even though I was vaccinated. Either way...I hope you stay healthy.

Thank you very much for the clarification. I looked at your photos carefully and could not find anything conclusive. There is a significant amount of glare, which might contribute to 'seeing things'. I suggest you take the same photos, but with the light source from the opposite direction. Compare them and see if you can still see the same thing you did with this set of photos. Sometimes, it is just the glare.

We will leave this post and see if anyone else has an opinion on them...OK?

Thank you! Yeah the Microscope I'm using is a hand-held and I'm working on the stand right now to help with this. Also it has a built in light I was making adjustments with trying to alleviate some of the glare. The coin itself is super shiney too. Like a lot of them I have haven't been in circulation for 17-18 years, except of course the newer ones...lol. They have been hanging out in a jar.
