Jefferson Nickel "Date Unknown" Capped Die Error

First of all, its probably not a capped die, but a struck through a capped die. Its a coin that is struck by a capped die that the cap is about to break free from the die. The metal covering the capped die is probably paper thin.
Capped dies are bottle cap shaped and MOST are one sided coins. Capped dies have high walls on one side of the coin.
I have several on my website from USA and India.

As per CONECA rules, we are not supposed to talk grades unless they are graded by a third party. Additionally, the CONECA staff frowns on talking about values since prices are regional and they are between a seller and a specific buyer. What is offered by one person can be severely undercut by another for example.
In my opinion.....If they offered you a set price for the coin as a capped die and it is not, there might be some problems later, should they send it in for grading, examination and it comes back as not what it was described as.
A Struck through capped die is uncommon, not rare in the 1960s through 1980s.
Like any coin, the higher the grade the higher the value.
The coin is raw, I assume, so the validity and authenticity might be questioned by people who just don't know about the minting process. Becareful out there is all it boils down to. Ensure the description matches the coin title as well as a proper examination has been completed for the coin in question.
