A little about myself. I used to casually collect coins years ago when I was younger. This was before the internet when knowledge was harder to come by. The library didn't have a lot of reference books on coins let alone errors. Like many kids, the coins were collected using the "oh, that looks cool" method. So nothing to serious.
However in the past year, I had the opportunity to start again when someone I know was selling their house. They wanted to get rid of some coins that had belonged to their stepfather. Nothing to serious, a good start on a 64-87 Kennedy set, Franklins and Ikes some random coins like Morgans, Peace, British, Olympic etc. Also included was a bunch of wheat pennies. I got bored one night and decided to go through the wheats. It turns there was a 2/3rds of a complete set plus extras.
Right now, I'm more into completing sets as opposed to just obtaining pristine samples. Errors have caught my attention right now.
I found this site looking for information or errors I believe I will become a member in the near future but wanted to look around first.
Sorry to ramble on.
