CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Intro

    Hey all -
I'm a new member today (non paying, so far ;-) I have been researching a very large stash of coins my late father in law amassed over decades. He didn't seem to have a method to his approach. Some are very nice old and newish coins, some mint sets; he also gathered lots and lots of coins I think he intended to go through to find errors. When I've had time through the years, I've been trying to research and catalog the potential errors. Being retired now, I have more time to devote to research. I'm fairly familiar with the terminology but very far from an expert. I joined in order to learn, not only about the coins I have questions about but also to learn from others. Looking forward to it.
