CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    New Paying Member

    Hi,

I'm Jess, a New Paying Member of CONECA! I have been collecting for about a year after inheriting my dad's coin collection. I enjoy finding errors and varieties. I also really appreciate a high MS coin with no errors either. I have sets that I am working on completing as well. I will thoroughly do as much research on known varieties, errors, different types of errors etc before I will ask if I am seeing what I think I am seeing.

    Welcome to the forum Jess,
I started with Lincoln Cents that my grandfather gave me. I wanted higher grade and as time went on I found a few hear and there on a budget. Then I got to the keys and realised, I needed something cheaper - than those - and started searching rolls. Two web pages later, many decades older and alot of nice types I can say the RPM's and double dies maybe cheaper but are ALOT harder to find!
    Happy Huntin...
