CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Hello,

My name is Charles Dennis. I’ve been interested in learning about coin collecting for a while and now I’ve made time to learn. I joined Coneca this year (member # N-8246) to learn more about minting errors. I also became a
member of PCGS. I’ve checked out a few Facebook groups, but honestly most of those groups seemed filled with crazy BS. I’m excited to learn from the membership here and plan to get around to few of my local coin shows in Washington star this year. I’ve read through the past year errorscope publications and I think it’s really cool what your group does and the effort you guys are putting into your coin passions. I’ll be catching up on prior years in the near future. I’ve already learned a lot and I’m very impressed with the professionalism I’ve seen. Anyhow, that’s a little about me. Thanks for accepting me into your group.
