New Member- Todd Hedrick from Colorado Springs, CO.
Hopefully new member, seems my paypal is under my business email so it got kind of messed up but we will get it straight even if I have to pay again. NO worries. My father-in-law passed away a few months ago unfortunately, but he left us a bunch of coins and silver and I was bitten by the bug! He knew my OCD and got me one last time. lol In three months I have amassed quite the collection and have read quite a few books trying to educate myself in currencies and coins. I am a big history buff anyway and can't believe I didn't get into numismatics long ago. Especially intrigued with error coins. Only took me 59 years! I hope I can contribute to the forum as well as learn from it. Hope to get to know everyone and happy hunting!Last edited by toddpatriot; 02-09-2026, 09:12 PM.Tags: None

Welcome aboard.
In my opinion, its very important to locate the mint marks on each of the coins - IF they have one.
The Red Book, the one that costs close to 20 bucks, usually has photos of where the mint mark is located.
A search on your favorite search engine should also do the trick.
On certain coins and denominations, that mint mark can make a big difference.
Happy Hunting.
