CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    New to Forum _North Carolina

    Hello from NC
I have rejoined Coneca and the Forum and look forward to learning more about errors.

I inherited a small collection back in 2021 and have enjoyed sorting the coins out by cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, Peace, Morgan, JFK, Presidential and Sacagawea. It is amazing how many types of coins are out there and the values. I have learned to view error listings on HA.com (Heritage), Varietyvista.com, error-ref.com and more. I purchased "Mint Errors to Die For" by Joseph P. Cronin and have found that to be an invaluable resource in educating myself. I also have learned to navigate Pcgs.com for value, ddo, ddr and also population. No sooner do I look up coin, then I learn that there is more to look for! It seems to be endless fun and education. The latest version of Cherry Pickers guide arrived this week. And I have the 4th Edition of the Mega Red book. I also use Wexler's doubledie.com as an awesome reference. I still am having trouble with Strike doubling and try double dies. I hope that I will be able to post photos of coins that I have questions about here and get guidance and feedback. Looking forward to this group. Thank you.
