CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Hello All, New guy here

Hey everyone this is Anthony from Kansas. A very new to error and variety hunting/collecting and documenting coins guy.

I have always had an interest in coins but the new found attraction to errors and varieties is something that I dove deep into. I have found several unique finds along with some of the very common ones. I will share pictures as I get more familiar with using the forum.

I have been looking forward to joining a coin community and choose CONECA forum for the large and experienced community.

I will attempt to attach a picture of the first I believe error I found and ignited this new passion. I have even got my oldest son and father-in-law into hunting. When I’m talking about coins people become more interested and start to ask questions I let them know how to get started and some common things to look for I really like seeing that spark start.

In my opinion, it looks post mint damage, almost like tin snips.

That was one of my first thoughts, Thank you for viewing my first post.

I found your signature block links most helpful, I read them 2–3 times before even typing my first post and even referred back them while creating post.
