CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • I'm sorta new here...

So the introduction email upon activation says to make a post of introduction, whether or not I'm a CONECA member or not, but I'm not seeing a subforum that serves the purpose of these kinds of introductions, so I'll make it here. Also, I would suggest that such a subforum would be created, or easily pointed out, so as to make that more easily acted upon.

I'm new to this forum, and I just rejoined CONECA (I was a member several years ago when I was a teenager). I've been a collector since I was really young, and got into studying die varieties back around 2004. I've been searching more or less since then, but took a break for college, and such and so forth. Now I'm in my late twenties. It's been awhile since I sent any of my die varieties off to get attributed, so I got a few unlisted ones lying around that I figure I ought to get them added into the mix.

I had been primarily searching Lincoln cents, and I am a forum member on the Lincoln Cent Resource forums, but my current focus has been especially on silver Washington quarters.

Here's a picture of a 1947-S 25c RPM-002 FS-502 just to test out if I got the photos here figured out.

It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!

That's a nice coin, and welcome to the forum. (Yes...I am here too!)
I think you did perfectly fine with your introduction. We don't need a sub forum for that. Anyway, welcome again!
