CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Hello, I joined this forum today and would like to introduce myself. I am a 16 y/o YN that got started in coin collecting when I was about 8-9 and started taking this hobby more seriously a couple years ago. I am a paying member of the ANA and got introduced to CONECA through one of their emails offering a 1 year membership to YN ANA members and became a member of CONECA earlier this month. I mostly collect type coins from the 1800's but errors have recently peaked my interest. I do have a few errors that I have questions about that I will post soon. I hope to learn and grow from the resources and knowledge provided here.
