CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Good Day To Everyone!"
New Member today and first post. I am pretty ecstatic about it. I am Chris, I am not to much of a collector, maybe more like a entrepreneur. But I am starting to have a nice sized collection. I have been Searching, Hunting, Learning, Getting coins graded and selling "I am member of PCGS". I try search for the best so others do not have to, for less than a Year! Maybe 8 Months Now. I was a Exec. Chef For many moons , maybe it is the sense of detail, variety of errors, or just cause I like shiny things. Coinage became my passion/ maybe obsession "if ask my wife" I was only part of one other forum before this, After I heard 'Machine Doubling" the second time. I just learned myself. Until, TODAY!! It will be nice to have real feedback and second pair of eyes when needed.

Welcome to the forum. We will be happy to help when we can. What is it you want to know about your nickel? Did someone tell you it had MD on it? Can yo do close up photography of the area that concerns you? I can not tell anything from the photo you included.
