CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE MYSELF

    Hello,
I'm David Dimier (non-joined at the moment) and I am just getting into coin collecting. I live in Panama City, FL and I am currently retiring from the U.S. Navy after 26 years. I am definitely in need of knowledge when it comes to coins, specifically error coins. So any advice or knowledge bombs would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Hi David. Welcome to the forum, and thank you for your service! I am just about your neighbor as I live in the Niceville/Fort Walton Beach area and am also retired (Air Force/22 years/retired in 1996). We do have a few members in this area, but lots of people here can help you get going. Ask away, and we will take care of you.

      Bob,
Thank you, I was just at Eglin this week. Glad to know there is someone local, do you deal with any coin brokers locally?

Sorry, but I don't deal with any coin shops/brokers. What are you looking for specifically, and I will try to get you where you need to go.
