Started collecting at 14 when I found a 1955 DDO Lincoln in my paper route change and I became an avid coin collector “treasure hunter” Life got in the way of the hobby but I’m back in a big way. Finally got the 55 DDO cent graded 58 years later, AU 53 by PCGS. Covid down time and a neighbor asking for help to value her grandfathers collection really energized me. The main focus of my collection is (books and graded coins) primarily Walkers, Franklins, Indian-Wheat-Memorial (copper) Cents. I am finding several DDOs (09 VDB, 27, 35, 41, 55, 72s, 82s) and many RPMs as well as some error coins in my pounds of Coinstar penny searches. My most exciting discovery for me was written up in CoinWorld Feb 21st 2022. A “Good God” 1972 Lincoln (2 Os in God). All indications are this coin is a rare Type ll counter clash, 7th known type. Looking forward to being with CONECA. I have a couple of anomalies I cannot identify and need help which I’ll post soon. Check is in the mail for my membership. Excited to be back in the numismatic world.

Welcome aboard Scott. I had a paper route back in the late 60's and found all kinds of neat things. That was actually what got me started in collecting!

        Welcome.
Congrats on the 1972 counter clash. Exciting to say the least when we spot an anomaly that turns out to be something nice.

Just curious where you were when you found the 55 DDO. New England? If so, what part?

Hattiesburg Mississippi I was 14 and had to post a bond of 150.00 to get a route. That was 1963-64. Worked ever since!
