My name is Matt and I am a new paying member. First let me thank you all the folks at Coneca for making this site possible. Not only being new to this forum, but as a novice to varieties and coin collecting in general (past simple collections worked as a kid) this is a terrific source of information. I also wanted to say thanks to those who have posted helpful topics as well - to many to mention here.
I am currently working on a Lincoln Wheat and Memorial set (1909-2009), which began with one of my kids but now seems to be mostly my project. I determined the Lincoln cent is the best way back in for me since I really like them and cost-wise - excluding the key dates - they are exceedingly available...and yes I will include key dates soon into the collection. Varieties - being an entirely different animal - caught my attention since I take great satisfaction in being detail oriented, although admittedly it is somewhat overwhelming at times. I have Wexler's reference book but do have some questions about how to use it effectively. Obviously Coneca and Coppercoins have been blessings.
I am aware of the forums rules for posts and pictures and look forward to learning and, in time, helping others. Currently I am just buying rolls and going through them, largely unsuccessfully.
Sincerely,
Matt
