CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    Hello Everyone!

    I just recently learned about Coneca, and decided to join as a member. The membership check will be at the post office tomorrow here in Georgia.
    I have been a coin collector for many years. I have a collection of Morgan and Peace dollars along with some gold Liberty coins which I inherited from my Dad. About 3 years ago I became interested in learning more about coin collecting and searching for U.S. error and variety coins, including all denominations. I am semi-retired so I have more time now to devote to this interesting hobby. I look forward to learning numismatic information here in the Coneca forums. Thanks!
