CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    New Member Introduction

    Hi, everyone!

    I am new to the coin collecting world. I love metal detecting on a historic piece of land that my family owns. I have found so many fascinating things but the old coins I am especially fond of.

    Through this, my family learned of my love of old coins and my father and father in law have passed down their coin collections to me. I have been researching and learning all I can. I am drawn to coin errors and I have been diving into the collections searching for errors which has led me here. I believe I have found so interesting finds and I am really excited to learn from all of you!

    I am also now a Coneca member and I am SO excited for this new hobby!
