CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

In my opinion, these photos are fuzzy a d somewhat dark to tell what's going on. Additionally, the photos at least a set obverse and reverse erse should be straight up and down. There is too much wrong with the photos for me to zoom in and see what is going on with them.

When I try to zoom in, it almost looked like a dull Grey color, instead of the normal shiny nickel type I am used to seeing.

I had to push back the urge or I would have blurted out environmental damage, as if this coin was in the ground, in a fire or had some other post mint damage (pmd) issue.

if the photos you take show flakiness or pitting on the coin.... very small holes, then it may have been in the ground. As of right now, with the photos I cannot honestly tell.

This all appears to be damage. Environmental or corrosive liquid is the most likely, just as Gary suggested earlier.
