CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

  • An Oldie but a Noobie!!

Greetings from East Coast, also called the Space Coast, of Florida. My name is Mario but on here I will be rok3269, I am 60 yrs old and have been collecting coins and currency for the last 15 years as a hobby. I am also a rockhound/lapidary, meaning I collect ugly rocks and make them into nice looking, in my opinion anyways, pendents and such. I am currently the V.P and Membership officer of the Titusville Coin Club, located here in Titusville, Florida.
I am constantly learning about numismatics and hope to be able to learn and contribute some of my meager knowledge here in the forums.
    Thank You for this opportunity!

Welcome aboard, sounds like you like to keep busy. Let's hope you have some winners in your collection. There are a decent amount of folks here to answer your question. We look forward to assisting when we can.

Very Kool!! I know of the Treasure Coast Coin Club through some of our members. Glad to meet you!
I have always been a fan of metal detecting, but don't have the time to add another hobby to my list.
          See ya' around the forums!!

I should also add 3D printing as my newest hobby.... I've been printing holders for my 2x2's to help keep my different collections separate and neater!
