CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

This 1 was found in the same roll as the die chip/beehive that I posted earlier. Now I looked and really didn't see one to match in order to look for markers.

I was honestly thinking 23 but the lower loop of the D didn't look exact.

There's the scratch under GOD but the die crack in columns 1, 2, 11 & 12 doesn't exist on this one like in other stages in Variety-Vista. So does that mean it's possibly an early die strike (EDS) before MDS/LDS because of its nice condition?

            Agree with Lance, RPM023...
I maybe able to help with a stage if you take photo's of the marker's you see.
This secondary dissapears as the die weared. I think it's a later die state coin - in between what Dr. Wiles posted for his states.

I'm moving this post to the Variety Forum where it belongs
            Thanks for posting..
