Unfortunately I have not yet gathered all the books I need in order to attempt all my identification on my own (they are ordered). So any help with identifying the coin in this post (and my next) would be appreciated...

1944-D D/S (D/D?, D/D/S?)
This is what appears to be a 1944-D/D - which doesn't seem to exist so I am notably hesitant. It certainly doesn't appear to be machine doubled but the MM its on top of doesn't look like an S to me either.

It's certainly a repunched mintmark. Check the CONECA Master Variety listing to see if it's in there. www.conecaonline.org.Mike Diamond. Error coin writer and researcher.
