1987D RD 1C possible DDO
LIBERTY looks suspicious. No listings found but if indeed a DDO I'll look further. There's doubling on rev left bottom of Memorial and heavy die abraiding on "O" of ONE.You do not have permission to view this gallery.

In my opinion, those letters appear to be a lot thinner than a regular letter.
I suspect machine damage of some sort.
Do the letters look like this ?
It could very well be die deterioration.

I see small amounts of doubling and have some of this variety in high grades along with the other varieties in high grades in this year amongst all other years. Wexler lists on their site.
I believe Wexler would identify this as a small spread in Liberty going north to north west. This additionally it created very a very small amount of doubling in the rest of the coin. Not sure if it is enough to be listed though.
Respectfully
I'd keep it.
Here is one of the many 1987 d i have.

I agree with Gary on this one. Shleppodella1 I see MD near Lincoln's profile, a clash as everyone stated above, and die deterioration doubling - looks like the metal movement - This is common on Zinc cents. It's just a normal cent. Keep it for reference.
