CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    1913 5C T2 (DDO FS-1101?)

Finally had time to get back to cataloging things and noticed the date looked odd here, which led me down a path of discovery yesterday (I continue to be amazed and grateful for the wonderful references the community has generated). I believe this is a DDO FS-1101?

It's now PCGS slabbed as a generic T2 but not variety-attributed. If it is indeed the DDO, might have to resubmit given the apparent premium over the standard (that I didn't previously know existed...)

It looks to be the one even has the PUP for the die clash under the chin, thickness in date and LIBERTY it looks like. Of course resubmission is entirely upto the owner but a Cherrypickers find does usually hold value especially when authenticated at least I've seen the last few years.

Thanks for the verification. I am still very much learning about the complex world of variety attribution but am certainly enjoying the ride.

My screen name originated from an auto name generator using random animals from another site many years ago and I just kept it. Never thought of it in reference to South Park until now!

I hope that you're not offended by it.
I really DID NOT mean anything by it I found it curiously funny being a South Park fan is all.

I'm still fairly new to this myself only being my 1st decade in all BUT I can say for certain 2 things that I've learned here on this site: 1)" Learn the minting process a easy way to remember is P (planchet), D (die), S (strike) yes, it's just like the mintmarks and 2) Get the book(s) and trust the official documentation out there" because the experts have had years to find some of these so if it's not listed then it more than likely it's not one.

PUP'S (pick up points) are particular key points on a coin that are documented to show what the item/error is and were its at on the coin for reference verification are so important which of course is why they're there. Thus is also why a clear & focused photo is sooooo important. If others can not see they can not help, right.
Also error-ref.com is a great read only approx 30 min all the way thru!
          Happy hunting....

Not at all offended. As another South Park fan, somewhat disappointed in myself for not realizing the (unintended) similarity sooner ;-) Thanks for the additional tips.

Nice variety. The states on VV all look like circ coins. Your's at least shows some nice detail. I like the coin, definately a keeper!
The die also looks vary weak. Your coin, I at first thought; was a VLDS but all the photo's on VV are weakly struck coins also.
This is the first year of the buffalo may also have something to do with it.

Thanks all. I miss the 'like' button for posts that seemed to disappear the same time the site was updated not too long ago
