1974-S_Coneca.jpg Hello signofthedimes,
Looks promising. Can you lighten up the area within my arrows? I would like to see if there is seperation on the lower serif. The issue, my oppinion; is are there any marker's, on this circulated coin; that would make an attribution easier.? The mintmark looks damaged from wear which makes it harder to attribute.Go over to the Wexler Website and look at Wexler RPM#1. I cannot quite tell because the date is cut off where the mintmark placement is compared to the date on your photo above. Check the marker's and see if placement and a marker matches. If so post what you find.
Thanks,
Eric

Okay, I'm finally getting back to you. What I see now, is the bottom serif separation looks like a cap, a product of some wear, it has abrasion lines the same that cover the top of the mint mark.Originally posted by eaxtellcoin View Post1974-S_Coneca.jpg Hello signofthedimes,

Man the wear over that mintmark is a bumber. The second photo kind of looks like there is an upper serif also. I just cannot tell if that is Wexler RPM#001. can you post a hole date / mintmark photo as close as possible. Let me know the crop size and I will try to overlay but did you find any of Wexler's markers on this coin?

There is the same upper serif, but that alone I had assumed was associated with the delisted broken die, so I just focus on the bottom serif. I'll look at Mr. Wexlers die markers then check my coin.Originally posted by eaxtellcoin View PostMan the wear over that mintmark is a bumber.
