  • 2005-S Silver PR Oregon 25C DDR?

I recently found this Oregon silver proof quarter with some potential doubling in the tree and lower mountain area. It looks somewhat similar to the SP versions found in Mint Sets. Could this be a “discovery piece”? Or is the doubling too minor for future attributions? Hopefully my photos are clear enough, thank you!

It is very possible that this could be legitimate hub doubling. There is precedent as well with a few verified doubled dies with doubling in the areas you highlight. This one would need to be seen in hand for verification. I do not know who our quarter attributer is yet, but this should be one he/she has a look at.

Thanks for looking Bob! It very easily can be hub doubling, but my eye is still developing to tell the difference just yet. Hopefully someone else can offer their opinion, but I appreciate you checking.

Possible. Wait for quarters to open (which is going to be well after Jeffersons and Lincolns) and we can look at it.
