1858 Lg Letters Low Leaves FS-01-1858-901
I finally picked up a couple of good ref books on flying eagles and Indian head cents that have given me much needed help in sorting mine out. Hope I got it right. Sorry about the blurry photos. It’s hit and miss on my set up. Most generally miss. Thanks for the helpTags: None

I'm not versed in FE varieties enough to confirm or add an opinion.
It's only been a couple of days since you posted this thread so if no one is able to help, you might want to check this link because there is a Wisconsin CONECA representative (Paul) that visits at the link regularly that has an affinity for FE and all their varieties. (BTW- Affinity is an understatement).
He will absolutely be able to help but may require better images.
Best of luck.
EDIT: I do see severe corrosion spots on both sides and what appears to be overall environmental issues on the reverse which might preclude being able to positively attribute this one. Are there any online sites you can provide links to for comparison? Thanks in advance.Last edited by Petespockets55; 04-22-2022, 07:46 AM.

Thanks Cliff for taking a look. This one is inundated with pot marks and corrosion as you said but if it turns out to be the correct coin that I’m hoping it to be, I will be very pleased to hang on to it. Hopefully in Aug I can get to the Coneca booth at the worlds fair of money in Chicago to have someone take a first hand look at this one.

Hang on to it. The corrosion is bad, but I believe it matches the variety.
For comparison:
Normal reverse (https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/...e-letters/2019)
FS-901 reverse (https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/...letters/569232)
Look at the appearance of the stems toward the bottom of the wreath. Also look at how far up the leaf goes next to the “C” in “CENT.”

(These FE are a specialty of Pauls at that other site. Once, he gave me a couple of 1857 mules as a thank you. )
