    1892 1C RPD FS-302 S-1

Hi All. I am so excited today after opening a Fun Roll from EScott Coins (which I received as a birthday gift). OMG it is packed with great things To start off with 2 Indian Head One Cent coins! Here is the 1892 which sure looks like the FS-302 to me but I do need help from the experts, please.

Also, some dumb questions: I found the this listing on the PCGS website, however, there does not seem to be photos for all of the varieties and I wondered how I can research, do I need to buy a book? The CONECA listings - I have looked for a list online but was unable to locate- where do you find the list?

    Thanks for all your help.

For Indian head cents, I bought the latest electronic version of Rick Snows' Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cents. I think I bought it when it first came out, a 2 volume set if you will for like 40 bucks? I don't remember off the top of the head what I paid, but that price is close.

This is the 900-page book in a downloadable PDF format. The files will come in an email with separate files for each volume. They can be loaded onto a tablet, iPad or computer. These are very easy to use at coin shows, rather than lugging around a 20 lb book.

As for your coin.... In the Snow Book, 1892 Snow one it says:

Wide and bold punching visible on the 8 and on the 9.
Minor separation at the top of those numbers.

The reverse on the right side shows "crisp" doubling, especially near the wreath veins.
he says to compare to Snow-12

Yep, Indian Cents can be packed with Repunched Dates. I usually can cherry pick one, two or more at shows, time permitting. Slabbed coins I always check to see if someone simply did not want to pay for the attribution fee, and there lays an unattributed RPD.

Well, happy belated Birthday, glad you are having fun !

I personally have not seen the CONECA master listings since they announced they were taking back the attribution services from Mr. Wiles. I think it is an important piece, and I also voiced my opinion on keeping the associated URS rating of each coin. Without some sort of URS vetting, the varieties are all equal in rarity.

I suggest pinging Bob and asking him if/when it may be made public once again, or where is it quietly hiding.

There is a way to see the old CONECA master listings, but Coneca staff may consider it outdated.

Thank you MintErrors for all the great information! Website was very nice and helpful. I will set my sights on that digital version for the future. Need to get the coin under the microscope and look at the reverse more closely.

I have no information whatsoever on the master listing. I have requested the Board of CONECA do something about updating everyone. I am afraid, I have nothing to add.

Congrats on the find. I'm not into the IHC varieties but congrats if it is.

And I agree about the "Fun Rolls" from EScott coins. He throws many varieties in each roll.
I just received two "Fun Rolls" last week and I'll post when I've had a chance to get images. But one roll had a 1983p DDO FS101 and a 1946D RPM-004, both MS. These rolls are so much better than taking a chance on a hit or usually-miss roll sold by others.

Hi Petespockets55, yes it was really exciting opening the "Fun Roll". I still have many more to examine and there are some very nice coins enclosed. Really good deal for those coin roll hunters
