I couldn't ask for better photos of the area, and I thank you very much for supplying them. Unfortunately, I still can't make the call. The first photo looks like it could be convincing, but someone other than me needs to make that determination. I am sorry.Bob Piazza

VV lists them as pope 1, pope 2, etc... Not sure what that corresponds to as far as this PCGS variety goes, but note this from the description below the PCGS listing when looking at pictures - "The closeup illustrated above is from a different die and shows doubling on all digits of the date, plus a fairly strong top of the 3."

I'm not a nickel guy but really appreciate seeing interesting varieties.
Am I reading that info correctly and there are nine different dies with the overdate?
