It is very difficult to say. The "D" 8has taken a lot of damage, to the point this this looks like machine doubling. With the middle of the "D" saturated with debris, it does not help trying to attribute this. We will have to wait until mustbebob comes along and see what he says. I will look to see if I have one of these in storage, I may be able to go there Sunday morning.

Continuing on, I was able to give this cent an over night soak in Extra Virgin olive oil and then to an acetone soak over night between two sterile cotton facial pads. (D down) I did no digging or scrubbing. Upon examination I found that a lot of the debris in the D was gone. Now just to find a semblance to a RPM if there is one. Agreed. Although this is better photos, the end result is the same, it's machine doubling or damage, along with circulation damage.
