  • Colombia 1 Centavo Error

    Greetings folks.
I may have come across something really cool.
This is a picture of a 1967 Colombia 1 Centavo coin.
My question is, are the "1" and "9" repunched/DD, or am I imagining it?

I am aware of the 1969 coin same denomination, but not of the 1967.
    Thanks!
    Darren

This is definitely a repunching of the date. Also notice how badly the '6' is aligned to the rest of the date. There are many really nice repunched dates for the Columbia 1 centavo coin. I have a few in my collection to include a 1961, 1966, 1967 repunched date. I also have a couple of 5 Centavo coins with repunched dates (1967 and 1974). Very nice examples of terrible quality control :-)
