CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    I found this while going through some Loomis rolls from the bank. I thought it was a neat strike through grease coin.

    Pretty nice. Did you find any more in that roll? Sometimes, when you can find multiples of the same die in the roll, you can follow the progression of the strikes and what happens to the grease and image as the dies continue to hammer the coins.

      Thank you. I didn't. I'm thinking Loomis got bags from the Mint and put them through a counting machine. I was hoping I'd find more... Did my pics look ok. This is my first time posting pics. I had to resize because the originals were too big.
