CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

    hello everyone, new to coin collecting..hunting .. you name it..

    I'm new to coin collecting and have always been a collector of things rare or unique or just catches my eye. I'm not a paying member since pretty new to everything and want to get more acclimated with everything. I recently got a small collection of coins from my dad when he passed earlier this year and have been noticing some with unique characteristics. Being OCD and ADHD what do I do? I hyperfocus and have to find out every last detail or validation before I move on to another thing LOL. Well, look forward to chats and finding unique things about coins..and showing some I might have too! Oh . Alex here

    Hey Alex, Welcome! Sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Hopefully this hobby can be something help remember him by. I just started collecting this year myself so I've been trying to absorb as much info and insight as I can. I look forward to seeing what you find and share.
