CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

    Hello I'm new here!

    Hello!
It's nice to meet everyone! My schedule is pretty full and I will try to keep up with post as often as I can.

am newer to the coin community, but have had the passion for coins my whole life. My favorite coin is the Mercury/Winged Liberty Dime. I am working on collecting some modern sets such as Cents, Nickels, etc... I haven't decided an area of passion in my collecting yet, I just want to experience it all! I have learned that I do have a good eye for errors and varieties. And have an good eye for a few other aspects.

I did start a YouTube channel for coins and such for many different reasons. But the main reason was to share my coin journey with others. Please don't feel like you have to check it out, but I do appreciate any support and feedback, both good and bad.

I work a 12 overnight shift in the IT field. So most of my coin time is at night when everyone else is asleep.

Thank you I do look forward to meeting everyone!

Hello everyone, I trust I'm in the introduction forum. Firstly for the record, I am not a paying member I was directed to this forum by another forum which I'll abstain from referring to the name. I don't know the legalities concerning that. I'm not a numismatic in the since of the word. I can barely pronounce it. However, I've grown very fond of the art as of late. My father left me his coin collection and I've been going through them with my novice eye, separating, cataloging, familiarizing etc. At any rate I found two coins in the collection and posted them on this other forum to get confirmation about what I concluded I found. I was given a link to a doubled die variety site I'm certain most of you know to which I refer. The two coins were not in the data base. Which is why I was directed here. I'm not familiar with protocol here in the site. So I won't post the coins until the administrator or one of you direct me. I apologize for all the wind, just wanted to make clear my presence here
