CONECA (pronounced: CŌ´NECA) is a national numismatic organization devoted to the education of error and variety coin collectors. CONECA focuses on many error and variety specialties, including doubled dies, Repunched mintmarks, multiple errors, clips, double strikes, off-metals and off-centers—just to name a few. In addition to its website, CONECA publishes an educational journal, The Errorscope, which is printed and mailed to members bimonthly. CONECA offers a lending library, examination, listing and attribution services; it holds annual meetings at major conventions (referred to as Errorama) around the country.

CONECA was formed through a merger of CONE and NECA in early 1983. To learn more about the fascinating HISTORY OF THE ERROR HOBBY and THE HISTORY OF CONECA, we encourage you to visit us our main site Here

Visit Coin Community Forum (CCF), Ray has helped many collector's with macro-photography specific to coins! His user ID is

No it is not the policy... There is just so much to do and so few attributers that if we see a slight pic of the coin we can tell if it is Damaged or not. then we can go to the website and see the big image. I did see your post and skipped over it as I was trying to get as many looked at and sorted out as fast as I could, I forgot to go back and check your posts. I will work on them tonight.

Now, I agree that it's a good idea to use the regular Die Variety or other forums to share pics of a coin, get feedback on how strong it is, etc before posting to the Attribution or Examination forum. Best to only post coins there which you and others believe are strong enough to be listed.
I did not say on this part of the forum. As an attributer I have a lot going on. I know the correct process. but a pic on the Attribution forum will help root out people with damaged coins or MD and people with a true variety and then we can look at the linked website. In this case I was rushed with the number of Posts that I looked at his post, saw no pics and figured I would come back to it once I weeded out all other posts.

I started a new thread to answer questions about the HIgh Resolution photos. Check it out here:

Contact Jamez he can get you some answers. One has to remember this is a volunteer style organization, so some things can go a bit slower at times. Send James a private message and he should be able to answer your concerns.

I personally have spoken with Mr. Parkhurst and you can rest assured that CONECA is working on resolving the pains we have had with this move from VV. Please be patient and remember, we are all volunteers here at CONECA. We have had severe growing pains and other issues that have slowed down the attributions and the CML getting listed as fast as we would have liked but, things are being worked on!

The help is very much appreciated. I was just curious, not meaning to complain.

Still patiently waiting for a response on my possible CML listings with cross references of three 2023 P Jefferson Nickel Doubled Dies. Maybe there can be a "please take a number and we will get back to you" or "No we can't see enough to list." I see views by attributers in my attribution posts but nobody has left any responses either way. I am glad to see 3 members online including myself and 63 guests!

I think the way to speed things up would be to allow three different ways to submit
                    1) privately (the current method)
                    2) publicly (everyone can see the post)
                    3) anonymously (everyone can see the post but only the CONECA volunteers can see who posted it)

that way other members can help people figure out whats going on with their coin, and the examiner can just say they agree with some members conclusions in some cases which would save time. We could even keep track of how many times members correctly help each other and have some award for that.

... I am sorry these were in before I was attributing fully. I am looking at them now.

The atributers and other knowledgeable members do look at the "Publicly" Die Variety Forum. some do respond. And you can put up your coin up in both forums. So this already is a option.
We are having problems looking at the CML in order to see if it is an already listed variety, or a new listing.

After a long discussion with Jamez, I understand more of the issues facing the attributers and the club regarding the CML and attributions in general. It is of course more complex than I knew, and am hoping the issues can be worked out soon so the club can function as normal again. I plan to continue monitoring and communicating on the issue and will publish relevant info here.

Jason has uploaded two of my latest discoveries to the CML. It sounds like it was a difficult process, so thank you Jason for doing this. Here are the links to the new listings:

Evening Folks - I saw a question above I can answer for everyone. When you take your photo. size them to 1200PX X 900PX. They do not need to be any bigger than that. Then after you upload to the site - choose medium. The photo will take up 1/4 of the screen.
                              Hope this helps.

Nice! Good for you! If coins could talk your easyzoom pics would say a 10,000 words! It's great to be able to see the whole coin and zoom in without pixelation. Nice notching on the 4 on the 43D!
